In 2015, Wilkinson Ltd had the privilege of recreating the historic lanterns for the large library at Stowe House.
The project was funded by the World Monuments Fund (WMF) during Dr. Jonathan Foyle’s tenure as Chief Executive. Having recently revisited the house, Dr. Foyle took this photo of our finished work installed in the magnificent room:
Working from 19th-century drawings, we manufactured three bespoke, reconstructed oil-style lanterns to bring a vital piece of the room’s original heritage back to life. Recreating these unique pieces remains a proud moment for our team.
